Menganalisis Perbedaan di Lingkungan Kampus dalam Kehidupan Multikuktural
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan yang terjadi di lingkungan kampus dalam konteks kehidupan multikultural di Indonesia. Keberagaman mahasiswa yang berasal dari berbagai latar belakang suku, agama, dan budaya menciptakan dinamika sosial yang kompleks. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi negeri di Kota Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan budaya, bahasa, dan nilai-nilai lokal sering menjadi sumber ketegangan, namun sekaligus menjadi peluang bagi terbentuknya dialog antarbudaya yang produktif. Faktor utama yang mendorong integrasi multikultural adalah program kemahasiswaan berbasis inklusivitas dan kepemimpinan kampus yang sensitif terhadap keberagaman. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan multikultural yang sistematis serta penguatan kebijakan kampus ramah budaya demi mendukung kehidupan harmonis di lingkungan akademik.
